We strive to only send healthy animals to new homes. We socialize our spiders and make sure they are eating well. The babies get fruit flies, and as they grow they move to dubia roaches and mealworms as well. Our goal at BBCB is to make sure every animal that leaves our care is able to have a thriving life at their new home.
Since the temperament of each spider is different, we strive to help educate new owners so they can make the best decisions on what individual will be the best fit. Any noteworthy personality traits will be communicated for optimal matches between pet and owner.
It is important to QUARANTINE any new animals you bring home before they go near the ones you already had. This is to make sure any illnesses the new animals have, either from where you purchased them or from the stress of travel, don't infect your other animals. Even if they look perfectly healthy, sometimes things are missed.
